QUIXOTE IN MINIATURE

My friend Steven Ritz-Barr is a wonderful puppeteer who I’ve been working with for over fifteen years. He operated the “meat-puppet” in my “They Might Be Giants” video.

He and I co-directed a marionette re-telling of Don Quixote for his video series, “Classics in Miniature”. The film starred Michael York (!!!). Making films with puppets are a delight and a nightmare and a delight. I’m fond of this one.

You should really check out Steven’s series. He and a group of other filmmakers recently completed a retelling of Joan of Arc that I think is absolutely brilliant.
